Volunteers were, and continue to be, the backbone of the
Festival's success. Without Volunteers to toil,
fund raise and sit on the board to run the whole event,
the best ideas in the world would be wasted.
2006 will see a much bigger (and better) light-up and a great new face for Ladysmith. The annual budget stands at over $ 80,000. The heavy workload requires a staff of two, hired for a four month term. The project requires a coordinator, a secretary (volunteer) and a laborer, but this by no means diminishes the roles of the volunteers. To get everything done, on time, it takes hundreds of hours from our small but dedicated core of volunteers.
